Our mothers always told us to never judge a book by its cover, and the next initiative promises to do the same!

      The ugly fruit network specializes in buying directly to producers the fruit and vegetables that are deemed ugly by supermarket standards and were destined to the trash, selling them with lower prices  therefore saving precious resources and food.

Weekly, each station with 300 consumers manages to save one ton of products, promising to change Portuguese consuming patterns in order to ensure a more sustainable society.

This project continues to give fruits with an ever growing grid of selling points scattered across Portugal, counting a total of 12 selling points with more on the way. Be sure to check if there's one near you.
